In case you missed this last week, Steven Colbert launched “Operation Humble Kanye” on his show the Colbert Report. Kanye didn’t take it so well and attacked back via Colbert’s twitter account. Kanye twittered, “Who the fuck is Stephen Colbert?” Check out the joke that sparked the feud:
Apparently, “A Colbert Christmas” was actually able to surpass Kanye on itunes for a short time. However, Kanye has since reclaimed the top spot. The brief success led Colbert to declare victory in “Operation Humble Kanye” on his Dec. 4 show. “Mr. West, I ain’t saying you’re a gold digger, just don’t understand your last Twitter,” Colbert joked, “Why buy Kanye’s album? You can basically hear it for free, just put a tin can to your ear and lean against the Pac-Man machine.”
While it isn’t immediatly clear whether Kanye is playing along or being provoked, we hope to think that Kanye actually has a sense of humor… but your never know with Mr. West.
