Dope or Dece?

Posted on 11 August 2009 by ianm

I’ve had it.  I can’t look at any more crap posts on any other lifestyle sites, claiming that the polka-dotted guy’s tote bag pictured is super sick, or that the ridiculous looking sequin hat pictured is a must-have, or that the racoon-skin boat shoe pictured is ill.  I gotta start calling cats out.   I’ll be starting a “Dope or Dece” series on HAAP, where I will post something I find on another lifestyle site that boasts about the item’s greatness.  I want to solicit a “Dope” from you if you agree that the item is sick, or a “Dece” from you if you think it is crap.  Pretty simple.  In order not to make any other author’s upset, I will refrain from naming the site that originally posted the item.

We start with this outfit.  It was posted with a description of how amazing the pants were.  I swear if I saw a chic wearing Tin-Man pants with a Scarecrow jacket I’d spill my drink.  Let ‘em have it.  For the love of fashion, please let ‘em have it.

This is so DECE! What was she thinking? I’ll tell you what else is Dece…skinny jeans! Who the hell thought that jeans that were tight enough to cut off oxygen to your balls was a good idea? How is that the cool look? I’d have to say that skinny jeans are DECE and just plain garbage!

I’ll one up the ‘dece’ vote and call this CRAP. If I saw this chick out at a club and she came up to talk to me I would laugh in her face. IN THE FACE!!!!!

Whoa whoa whoa, “Dece” the latin root word for decent means OK or marginal, these pants are a travesty like most “high” fashion. She must be going straight to the club from her job at Medieval Times.
