For those of you who haven’t heard this track, it’s time to get caught up. This is an instant jam especially for you electro fans. This one will be rockin’ the clubs all summer. This is the same group that had the hit, “Lowridin.” So not necessarily one-hit wonders here but this track is sure to blow up soon. It’s already getting good radio play in So Cal.
Shameless plug: FM will be performing this song, “Girls On the Dancefloor” on April 10, 2009 at Flight Lounge in Huntington Beach. Hosted by the best promoters in Orange County, CA, Mix Armada, this night will be packed. So enjoy the song and come support the Mix Armada boys. Visit mixarmada.com for more info.
The haap crew stepped out this weekend for a Talib Kweli show at Flight Nightclub in Huntington Beach, CA. It was a small private show for maybe 800 guests. The small club provided an intimate atmosphere and there really wasn’t a bad seat in the house. Talib performed for about 45 minutes to an hour with a few songs by Strong Arm Steady intermixed. Kweli also stuck around after to kick it and take pictures with fans.
We got some exclusive video for you from the show. We are a little pissed because the best two clips of his opener and closer got erased. The Blackberry Storm likes to freeze for no apparent reason. The videos that did save turned out surprisingly well for a phone video camera though.

For more videos of the show visit the Haapwyshits YouTube page. We will be bringing you more exclusive video from shows and events in the near future, so check back.
Keep an eye out for Reflection Eternal 2, which should drop sometime this year. You can also keep up with Talib, Strong Arm Steady and their whole crew at Yearoftheblacksmith.com.
DJ Santino of Mix Armada and haap with Talib. Thanks for wearing your haap shirt Mike?!
If you are in NY and you aren’t at the Highline Ballroom tonight, we hate you. Wale gets on stage with the dopest Go-Go band. If that wasn’t enough, Kid Cudi and Colin Munroe (Munroe Mixtape) follow up. Put the final episode of the Biggest Loser on ice and be there.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any news on the release date for the first installment of Maxwell’s long anticipated album trilogy Black Summers’ Night. However, we do have some good news. Apparently, Maxwell’s first stage appearance in 5 years at the 2008 BET Music Awards (check the vedio if you missed it) got him in the mood to tour again. He recently announced via his Myspace page and Vibe magazine that he will officially start a tour on October 8 in Boston.

Tickets should be available soon. We are hoping that this is a build up to a late 2008 release. The new album was originally slated for release in September of 2007 and then rumored for this summer, but there is still no official word. You’ll be the first to know once we hear something.
