Here are a few samples from Staple Designs 2008 Fall Collection. For those of you unaware, Staple Design (STPL) is a New York based apparel company. Jeff Staple started the line in 1997 and has built a solid reputation with the underground streetwear community. His staple was a pair of SB dunks he helped conceptualize called the Staple Pigeons. The Dunks were a very limited edition release and command outrageous prices on the resale market.
Staple Design has a store on Orchard Street in Manhattan. They sell their own line of clothing in addition to other streetware brands.
The latest Magic Trade Show in Vegas was one for the storybooks. Many of the illest of the sick showed their new suave on the tradeshow floor, and many of the sickest of the ill showed up at the Crooks & Castles X Karmaloop TV aftershow bash held in the Hugh Hef suite at the Palms. The HAAP boys have reserved it for next year’s Magic show. Below, partake in the party that you wish you didn’t miss.
Lupe Fiasco is set to launch his much anticipated clothing line, Fall Of Rome, this fall. The rapper and streetwear extraordinaire has admitted that the line will be all black, a very different taste from his Righteous Kungfu t-shirt line that he started in 2006.
On his Fall of Rome line: “When your game is to sell clothes and for people to believe in you your brand and to push your brand, you keep your game fare on. The logo for it is this broken statue that was pushed down when Rome was invaded; it represents the decay of beauty. I give my clothing a story. I create a purpose for it.”
Coming up in a week, Lupe’s Fall Of Rome and the Singapore label FALSE will bring a quick collabo’ teaser for the Fall Of Rome line. The teaser collection will be called “Fallacy of Rome“. The website for it will be complete soon.
Finally, even Nike is getting into the action, as very limited edition AF1 was recently created to celebrate the launch of the Fall Of Rome line (pictured below). HAAP.
Dave’s Quality Meat has been on the Haapwyshits dopeboyfresh list for a while. They are releasing the pictured “Uptown Plaid” caps as a part of their Fall 2008 Collection. These suede New Era Caps will be released on September 12th in their NYC store.
