Look - it’s no secret in this country that Wade Boggs is a worthy, acceptable idol for all children to worship - along with Chuck Norris, Jack Bauer, and Tim Tebow.  It’s also no secret that Boggs can possibly drink more beer in one sitting than any man on Earth.  Last we checked, ‘The Legend of Boggs’ was at 64 beers - who knows, it may be up around 75 now.  College kids these days can tell some whoppers…..

Anyways, for your reading pleasure, the kind gentlemen over at tastybooze.com were awesome enough to post this story a couple years ago, told from a first hand perspective by former Major Leaguer Jeff Nelson.  Yeah yeah, it isn’t recent, it isn’t news, everybody knows it, etc. etc. etc.   Yeah, well every now and then people need to be reminded about history, and this is one of those times.  Just read the story and laugh like a normal person would.  It basically confirms the fact that Boggs is, in fact, all that is man.  So the next time you feel like throwin’ down a few Miller Lites, do the right thing and make a toast or 64 to Boggs.
